Therapy Services

Licensed therapists providing individualized, confidential care — whether you're working through personal challenges, meeting a professional requirement, or simply ready to make a change.

A Space to Be Heard

Therapy works best when you feel safe, respected, and genuinely understood. At Lighthouse Wellness and Recovery, our licensed clinicians bring both professional expertise and real human warmth to every session. We don't believe in one-size-fits-all treatment — your history, your goals, and your pace shape the work we do together.

We provide outpatient therapy services to adults navigating a wide range of life circumstances, from everyday stress and relationship difficulties to trauma, grief, and court-mandated requirements. Whatever brings you through our door, we meet you where you are.

Please note: Lighthouse is an outpatient practice. We are not able to provide emergency psychiatric services or manage active crises, suicidal ideation, or self-harm. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or go to your nearest emergency room. When a higher level of care is needed, we will help connect you with the right resources.

Individual Counseling

Individual therapy gives you dedicated, private time with a licensed therapist to explore what's weighing on you and develop real strategies for moving forward. Sessions are tailored to your needs and may draw on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused techniques.

People come to us for many reasons — anxiety that won't quit, depression that's dulled the color out of everyday life, difficult relationships, grief, life transitions, workplace stress, or a general sense that something needs to change. You don't have to have it figured out before you call. That's what the first session is for.

  • Anxiety and stress management
  • Depression and mood disorders
  • Grief and loss
  • Life transitions and adjustment
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Relationship and family difficulties
  • Self-esteem and personal growth

DOT evaluation

DOT Violation Evaluations

If you've violated a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug or alcohol policy, federal regulations require you to complete an evaluation with a qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) before returning to safety-sensitive duties. Our SAP-certified clinicians provide the full evaluation and follow-up assessment process in compliance with 49 CFR Part 40.

The SAP process is not punitive — it's designed to make sure that employees returning to safety-sensitive roles are ready to do so safely. We work efficiently and professionally to help you complete the required steps and get back to work.

The SAP process includes:

  • Initial face-to-face evaluation
  • Education and/or treatment referral as clinically indicated
  • Follow-up evaluation to confirm compliance
  • Written report to your employer's MRO or DER

DOT-regulated industries served include trucking (FMCSA), aviation (FAA), transit (FTA), pipeline (PHMSA), and railroad (FRA). Contact us to confirm your specific regulatory requirements.

Court-Ordered Protective Parenting

When a court requires a parent or guardian to complete a protective parenting program, Lighthouse provides court-ordered counseling services in a professional, non-judgmental environment. These services are designed to support family safety, strengthen parenting skills, and help individuals meet the requirements set by the courts.

Our clinicians have experience working within the family court system and understand the documentation and reporting requirements involved. We communicate with attorneys, caseworkers, and the court as needed, and we provide timely completion letters and progress reports.

Services may include:

  • Parenting assessments and evaluations
  • Individual counseling for parents and guardians
  • Parenting skills education
  • Documentation and court reporting
  • Coordination with caseworkers and legal counsel

What to Expect

Your first appointment is an intake session — a conversation where your therapist gets to know you, understands what's brought you in, and works with you to set goals for treatment. There's no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with. We'll go at your pace.

Ongoing sessions are typically 45–55 minutes and scheduled at a frequency that works for your situation and goals. Some clients come weekly; others come less frequently as they progress. We accept most major insurance plans and offer a sliding-fee scale for those who qualify.

Telehealth appointments are available for clients who prefer to meet remotely — same quality of care, from wherever you are.
