At Lighthouse Wellness and Recovery, we provide individualized medication-assisted treatment for opioid and alcohol use disorder. We meet people where they are — whether they're taking their first steps toward stability or working to rebuild after a setback. Recovery is not a straight line, and we don't give up on people who are still finding their way.
We serve individuals across Indiana and Kentucky. Sliding scale fee discounts are available for eligible uninsured patients based on household income and family size.
Alcohol Abuse & Alcohol Use Disorder
Alcohol is the most widely misused substance in the country — and one of the most socially normalized, which can make it difficult to recognize when use has crossed into something that needs attention. Signs include drinking more than intended, difficulty cutting back, continued drinking despite consequences, and withdrawal symptoms when stopping. If you've tried to quit on your own and found it harder than expected, that's not a sign of failure — it's a sign your brain chemistry has changed in ways that respond to treatment.
Opioid Abuse & Heroin Addiction
Opioid use disorder is one of the most urgent public health challenges of our time. Many people who struggle with opioids started with a legitimate prescription — for pain after surgery, an injury, or a chronic condition. Over time, tolerance builds, prescriptions run out, and the body begins to crave what it has come to depend on. Our team offers medication-assisted treatment paired with supportive counseling to help you regain stability.

Talk to Us →What to Expect in Medication-Assisted Treatment
Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) combines FDA-approved medications with counseling and behavioral support. Depending on your evaluation, medication options may include buprenorphine (e.g. Suboxone, Subutex) for opioid use disorder, naltrexone (oral or extended-release injectable, e.g. Vivitrol) for opioid or alcohol use disorder, or acamprosate for alcohol use disorder.
Medication Agreement & Drug Screening
Because these medications are controlled substances, patients in MAT are asked to sign a medication agreement outlining the expectations of treatment, including periodic urine drug screening. Screening helps your provider ensure your treatment plan is working safely and effectively — results are used clinically, not punitively, and are discussed openly with you as part of your care.
Prescriptions & Refills
Controlled substance prescriptions require a scheduled follow-up appointment — they cannot be refilled by phone or online request. We coordinate with your pharmacy directly and encourage you to schedule follow-ups before you run low on medication. Many patients receiving MAT also benefit from concurrent mental health treatment, and we coordinate care across your providers to support your full recovery.
Lighthouse does not guarantee that any specific medication will be prescribed. All prescribing decisions are made by licensed providers based on individual clinical evaluation and applicable federal and state regulations. Not all patients are candidates for all medications.
